Color Sort 3D: Test Tube Liquid Transfer & Capacity Planning
Color Sort 3D challenges your branching foresight. Four cylindrical test tubes hold mixed layers of colored liquids. You must pour liquids between tubes until each tube contains four units of a single pure color.
Follow these capacity planning rules to solve high-density sort challenges without deadlocks.
1. The Pure Buffer Tube Axiom
Your top priority is completely emptying one test tube as early as possible. An entirely empty tube acts as a critical holding buffer that enables you to un-stack deeply buried colors.
2. Bottom-Layer Revelation Priority
Always target pours that expose new, buried liquid layers in the deepest tubes. Revealing unknown bottom colors expands your branching options exponentially.
3. Avoid Scattering Liquid Layers
Never pour a color into an empty tube unless you can immediately follow it with identical layers. Fragmenting colors across multiple tubes consumes precious volumetric capacity and leads to instant deadlocks.
