6x6 Mini Sudoku Techniques: Fast Elimination for Beginners
Mini Sudoku 3D brings the mathematical elegance of Latin Squares onto a crisp 6x6 isometric drafting board. Divided into six 2x3 rectangular blocks, the goal is to fill every cell with digits 1 through 6 such that each digit appears exactly once per row, column, and block.
Because of its compact dimensions, Mini Sudoku can be solved in under 2 minutes using fast elimination heuristics.
1. Single Candidate Scanning
Scan rows and columns that already possess 4 or 5 filled numbers. The missing number can be stamped immediately without cross-checking the rest of the board.
2. Block-Column Interaction (Pencil Lines)
If a digit is restricted to a single vertical column within a 2x3 block, it is mathematically impossible for that digit to appear anywhere else in that entire column across the other blocks. Use this exclusion to stamp hidden singles in neighboring blocks.
3. Rotational Symmetry Exploitation
Mini Sudoku puzzles incorporate intentional rotational symmetry. Spotting paired complementary numbers across opposite quadrants accelerates full-grid clearance dramatically.
